Client
Successes
Positive
results are the best testament to the quality and dedication clients receive
when they work with us. We are committed to achieving the best possible
outcome for every client, regardless of the case. Following are highlights
from recent cases we handled.
Charge:
DWI
A client was driving his motorcycle in Stearns County. He was arrested and charged with DWI in the fourth degree. The court found that stop was illegal and dismissed the case.
Result: All charges were dismissed based on our pretrial motions.

Charge:
Aggravated Robbery
A client was charged with aggravated robbery in the first degree. The
client had let his public defender go, and hired us before the jury trial.
If convicted, he would have faced about 12 years in prison because he
had a lengthy felony record. His trial took two days before a jury of
12 people.
Result:
He was found not guilty of all charges.

Charge: Criminal Sexual Conduct and Burglary
One client was charged with criminal sexual conduct and burglary in the
first degree. He has a wife and children at home. He had no criminal record.
He was facing 48 months in prison upon conviction.
Result:
The jury of 12 found him not guilty.

Charge: Domestic Assault and Malicious Punishment of a Child

punishment of a child for allegations on two occasions. The client would

have faced loss of their medical license upon conviction.

Charge: Fleeing Police and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
A client was charged with a felony for fleeing police in a motor vehicle
and driving under the influence of alcohol. The client admitted the DWI,
but denied fleeing police. A conviction for fleeing police would have
left him with a one-year loss of driving privileges. The prosecutor would
not drop the fleeing police charge, so the case went to a jury trial.
Result:
The individual was found not guilty.

Charge: Fleeing Police
One client was charged with fleeing police on a motorcycle. The state
seized his new Harley Davidson motorcycle and attempted to forfeit the
vehicle.
Result:
All charges were dismissed on a pretrial motion and the motorcycle was
returned.

Charge: Criminal Sexual Conduct Conviction
We represented an individual with a criminal sexual conduct conviction.
His employer had discovered the conviction and was threatening to fire
him.
Result:
The charge was expunged from his record and he kept his job.
